"See this finger? It's telling you to LEAVE..."

Ryan is always full of such expressions and sometimes when we are disciplining him it is hard to keep a straight face. This was one of those times. Ryan is at the age where he wants to do everything "all by myself". Well, last night he was not getting ready for bed like he was supposed to, so Tom told him that if he didn't get busy that he was going to come in and help him get his jammies on. Ryan kept giggling thinking that was funny, dancing around (with only his underwear on!) in the bathroom, etc. So Tom went in and said that was it and that he was going to help him get dressed into his jammies now. Ryan looked at him with his "fed up face" (see below) and pointed towards the door and said to Tom, "See this finger? It's pointing out the door NOT in it. It's telling you to LEAVE!"

Tom continued to help him and then when Ryan was getting the point he finally made up a reason to leave the bathroom long enough to share this story with me and we had a good (silent) laugh about it. With Ryan, you sure know where you stand when he gives you that "evil eye".

Part of Ryan's bedtime routine EVERY night (and I mean every single night!) after he gets his jammies on, he comes bounding in like Tigger and makes this "hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo" sound (like only Tiggers can make) and stands proudly with his jammies on and waits for you to tell him he is handsome.

We always joke that we hope that he outgrows this part of the routine otherwise his future wife will have to tell him he looks handsome in his jammies every night too! For right now, it's pretty cute though....
